Madeleine Village in south Trinidad, in the vibrant Caribbean, her creative journey spans various forms, encompassing poems, short stories, songs, articles, and even a play. In 2004, Arlene's commitment to her craft gained recognition when her inaugural article, "Facing Challenges," found a home in the pages of the Caribbean Compass, marking the beginning of a series of published works. Notably, her poignant short story "Tears For My Mother" earned a place in the esteemed 2010 anthology "Across The Caribbean". Arlene's talent continued to shine as her flash fiction story "Looks" achieved long-list status in the prestigious 2011 Brighton Cow winter contest. Undoubtedly, her diverse and accomplished portfolio reflects her versatility and dedication to the art of storytelling.
