Bruce Miles has covered sports in the Chicago area for more than four decades. Before retiring in the fall of 2019, he served for 22 years as the beat writer covering the Chicago Cubs for the Daily Herald in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He has covered both Chicago baseball teams winning the World Series and has a soft spot for the Cleveland Indians after the Cubs beat them in 2016. A native of Chicago, he lives in the northwest suburbs of Chicago with his family.
