Jerry Ewing - Libros y biografía

Jerry Ewing is editor of Classic Rock Presents Prog, a magazine that does pretty much what it says on the cover. He launched the magazine for Future Publishing in January 2009 and still dons his cape and sets off to work each morning to listen to albums that last for three weeks. Ewing’s writing career began with Metal Forces magazine in 1989, when he eventually realised a passion for AC/DC – the by-product of a youth spent idling away his days listening to music on the beaches of Sydney – was more consuming than a degree in management science would really ever be. Since then he’s worked for Metal Hammer, Vox, Stuff and Bizarre amongst others. He set up Classic Rock magazine for Dennis Publishing back in 1998 and then spent a hugely enjoyable six years toying with images of scantily clad women and making up crude jokes for Maxim. He also works as a broadcaster, frequently for internet radio station TotalRock and is the author of an ever-increasing amount of books on music and football. His favourite Led Zeppelin song is ‘Achilles Last Stand’ from ‘Presence’, although when the purists aren’t listening he’ll admit to still having an enormous soft spot for ‘Stairway To Heaven’. Away from music he still indulges a now 40-year odd passion for Chelsea Football Club, the Sydney Roosters and Vegemite. He has also been known to enjoy the odd drop of Green Label Jack Daniel’s. But like the adverts tell you, he does so responsibly. Ewing has also been referred to as a veteran scribe, although he is much younger than Malcolm Dome.
