Laraine F. Eddington - Libros y biografía

Born on a ranch in northern Arizona, Laraine F. Eddington has been consuming books since she first opened her eyes to the world. Like any writer, she is passionate about reading.

Her first novel, When Willa Fell, is set in the world she knew well growing up—Arizona's high desert plateau, home to fierce winds, vast cattle ranches and hard working people. Growing up in a hometown surrounded by the rich culture of the Navajo, Hopi and Apache tribes, she has a great respect for their traditions, as well as a love for the stark beauty of reservation lands. A young Navajo girl character figures prominently in her novel, When Willa Fell.

Laraine and her husband Mark are parents to five creative children and seven stellar grandchildren, all of whom love a good story. Grandma Rainy is famous for personalized bedtime yarns featuring hair raising adventures and magic, every child's fondest wish for avoiding bedtime.

Without humor, life isn't worth living and writing isn't worth reading. Laraine is fond of the ridiculous and requires a healthy dose of daily laughter. You will find a ripple of wit through all her work.

Hiking in the Sonoran Desert and the White Mountains of Arizona, even the Camino de Santiago in Spain have kept Laraine's imagination and legs strong during the last few years. She also loves to hand quilt while listening to audiobooks. Laraine lives with her husband in Mesa, Arizona, sharing their property with an occasional roadrunner and coyote—but not the cartoon kind.
