M.M. BUSBY is a retired educator who received the Florida Center for Teachers Award from the Florida Humanities Council for her original essay about the Apostle John working as a public-school teacher after living 2000 years on earth. During her teaching career, she helped develop computerized reading comprehension and literacy programs, created a highly acclaimed interactive sing-along system to promote reading fluency, and was certified as an Accelerated Reader Model and Master Class instructor by the prestigious Renaissance Learning Systems, Inc. She is a member of Sisters in Crime (SinC), Women's Fiction Writers Association (WFWA), Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), American Copy Editors Society (ACES), Editorial Freelancers Association, and National Association of Independent Writers and Editors (NAIWE).
