Born and raised in Memphis, TN, Rhea T. Jackson's love for writing blossomed at a young age. Drawn to how words made the heart listen, she began writing poetry after reading poems from Lucille Clifton, Langston Hughes, Edgar Allan Poe, and Maya Angelou. But it wasn't until she read her first novel by Eric Jerome Dickey that she fell in love with the art of storytelling. Finding herself immersed in gripping stories where characters were relatable and the book was hard to put down, Rhea knew wanted to share her love for storytelling with the masses.
