Jim loves hearing Annie's fantasies, and even has a favorite, which involves providing some additional education to a bunch of college guys, who are in need of a particular kind of education. But when Jim shares his own version of that fantasy with his wife, she sees something in her husband that he is reluctant to admit, even to himself. But then, the snowstorm. It happens during Annie's cross-country business trip to the Boston area, which includes a visit with her college roommate Rose, Rose's husband Mark, and yes, their college student son, Dave, who just happens to be in need of that additional bit of education. But he is also in possession of a family secret. It's always interesting the way our lives can sometimes be changed profoundly, by something as simple as a totally natural event. Such as a snowstorm.
