Is dating really all that difficult to do?
It depends on who you ask.
Gideon
Gideon Hayes was rocking the hell out of his adult life. At thirty-five, Gideon was a homeowner, contract engineer, and though moody, lived a pretty pleasant life. In business with his father, he was successful and liked his life the way it was. With a great family, two annoying but loyal brothers, and the freedom to live his life any way he chose, there wasn't much to complain about.
Actually, that's not true. Gideon has one issue that he can do without, though he would never admit it. His mother was a smother-mother, and she was obsessed with his dating life, especially now that his two brothers were married with families. However, Gideon doesn't need his mother's help getting awful dates because he can do that on his own. Case in point, Echo Woodward.
Echo
Echo Woodward was definitely not rocking the hell out of her adult life. Even though she had a great job as a high school math teacher and just bought her first house, she still had lingering issues from her divorce that she was working hard to get past. With only herself to count on, she wasn't about to let herself down again. She wasn't about to let anyone kill her positivity again.
Actually, that's not true. Echo has one issue and it's a big one. Her new next-door neighbor is a conceited jackass of the highest order. Now, while she has every reason to be, she wasn't a manhater. Echo doesn't believe that one bad apple is a representation of the entire basketful. However, Gideon Hayes is testing her generosity. Did she mention that he's too gorgeous to be real, though? Swoon.
When dating isn't for the timid…
When Gideon mistakes a business meeting for another set-up by his meddling mother, he's beyond rude to the woman, and she's beyond pissed by his rudeness. After he finds out that Echo Woodware is his new neighbor, that just adds to the disaster. Still, that doesn't mean he's not attracted to her.
When Echo finds herself on the receiving end of a case of mistaken identity, she gives as good as she gets. After giving Gideon Hayes a piece of her mind, she's less than thrilled when she discovers that he's her new neighbor. Though she does her best to avoid him, Gideon isn't that easy to ignore.
Between a new job, moving to a new town, a piece of crap ex-husband, a meddling mother, two idiot brothers, a home renovation project, and an enthusiastic wedding planner, Gideon and Echo have their work cut out for them.
NOTE: This book contains adult language, adult situations, explicit sexual encounters, and an out-of-control wedding planner. If sensitive to any of the aforementioned issues, please do not purchase.
