I'm a Southern Girl. Not your stereotypical southern belle you read about in trashy romance novels, but I'm fairly typical, and a typical southern woman is just about like any typical woman from anywhere. There are a few things I've done that many women might not have done. I've driven a tractor, I've picked cotton (in an air-conditioned cab mind you, not by hand), I've chewed tobacco, and threw up afterwards, I can shoot a shotgun, in the 90s at skeet, 80s at trap, I can shoot a rifle, but I don't, and I can shoot a pistol, but I don't have one. My daddy taught me all that stuff, except the chewing tobacco part, that was my ex husband, when we were dating.
I grew up on a large farm in a county just outside Savannah. It was owned by my Daddy and my Uncle. After I graduated from high school, I went to the local community college for a year, until I figured out that was just High School II, and I went off to UGA. Got my degree there, then went to Atlanta and got another degree.
Falling for my billionaire mentor has trouble written all over it.
It's too much to risk,
Not just my heart,
But my music career I've worked so hard to build.
The way he looks at me,
The way he touches me,
It's like we were meant for each other.
I can't deny the way he makes my body feel,
The way he makes me yearn for more.
But there's more about my past he doesn't know,
And it seems the closer we get,
The further away everyone else in my life becomes.
Can I have it all?
Or will one happily ever after mean the demise of another?
