Brett looked at her. “Well, well.” He was amused. He was used to women throwing themselves at him, but usually he sorta knew them. This one? She was new. He could tell she was a little older, too. That didn’t bother him too much. She wasn’t a threat, and the offer wasn’t a bad one. But he wasn’t in a rush. He continued to look at her as he drank more beer, considering her offer.
Jane was getting impatient. Her vodka tonic was nearly finished, and she didn’t want to get another one and risk losing control. She edged closer to Brett, almost touching him.
Brett didn’t move. He could smell her perfume now, a light floral scent, one that reminded him of ex-girlfriends. Jane touched his arm, and he felt a little frisson of electricity down his arm.
“I suggest you finish that beer and come with me, Brett”. She was a little more forceful with her words now.
