Marie Brennan is a former anthropologist and folklorist who shamelessly pillages her academic fields for material. She most recently misapplied her professors' hard work to the Victorian adventure series The Memoirs of Lady Trent; the first book of that series, A Natural History of Dragons, was a finalist for the World Fantasy Award and won the Prix Imaginales for Best Translated Novel. She is also the author of the Doppelganger duology of Warrior and Witch, the urban fantasies Lies and Prophecy and Chains and Memory, the Onyx Court historical fantasy series, the Varekai novellas, and more than fifty short stories. Nebula Award–nominated author Beth Cato hails from Hanford, California, but currently writes and bakes cookies in a lair west of Phoenix, Arizona. She’s the author of the Clockwork Dagger duology and the Blood of Earth trilogy, plus scores of other short stories and poems across a multitude of publications. She shares her household with a hockey-loving husband, a numbers-obsessed son, and three feline overlords.
After a strange career that has included working as an actor, a corporate lawyer, an IT project manager, a professor, a dishwasher, and the assistant dean of a technology school, Kenneth Schneyer started (or re-started) writing original fiction in 2007.
In 2014, he received a Nebula nomination for his short story, "Selected Program Notes from the Retrospective Exhibition of Theresa Rosenberg Latimer", a story that was also a finalist for the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award. He is a 2009 graduate of the Clarion Writers Workshop, an active member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America, and a member of the Cambridge Science Fiction Workshop.
Born in Detroit, he now lives in Rhode Island with one singer, one dancer, one actor, and something with fangs.
My fiction has appeared in various magazines and anthologies, including Black Static, Interzone, Strange Horizons, Ideomancer, Shimmer, Salt's Best British Fantasy, Great British Horror, Best British Horror, and others, and has been short-/long-listed for various prizes including the Bridport Prize and Mslexia short story competition. In 2017 my story WHITE RABBIT won the British Fantasy Award for Best Short Fiction. THIS HOUSE OF WOUNDS, my debut collection, is available to order from the publisher or through Amazon UK, US or Barnes and Noble.

“Rich word choices and settings that blend speculative concepts with quotidian reality highlight this stellar anthology of prose and poetry from well-known editor Mike Allen (CLOCKWORK PHOENIX) and his wife and copublisher, Anita Allen ... This anthology is a winner from cover to cover.” —PUBLISHERS WEEKLY, starred review
This new anthology from the creative team behind the critically-acclaimed CLOCKWORK PHOENIX series assembles beautiful poetry and strange prose from the first year of the digital journal MYTHIC DELIRIUM. With contributions from Marie Brennan, Ken Liu, Alexandra Seidel, Karthika Naïr, Sonya Taaffe, C.S.E. Cooney, S. Brackett Robertson, Amal El-Mohtar, Virginia M. Mohlere, Georgina Bruce, Patty Templeton, David Sklar, Liz Bourke, Jennifer Crow, Brittany Warman, Yoon Ha Lee, Brigitte N. McCray, Nicole Kornher-Stace, Kenneth Schneyer, Robert Davies, Lisa M.
