Award-winning author, Lee Pletzers is a displaced New Zealand writer of the weird, wonderful and grotesque.
Since 2001, he has impacted the genre world, under the pen name Richard Lee. Over seventy short stories have slammed his name on anthologies and magazines across the globe; for example; The Literary Hatchet, Calamities Press, Under the Bed and Nebula Rift. His short story "Water" was the finalist in the Sir Julius Vogel awards NZ 2015 as was his horror fan site in 2010. Five novels affected humanity and two novellas were the icing on the cake.
He is now making the move into crime thrillers. He reads a lot of them and figures he might know a thing or two. His entrance into this genre starts with the Death World duology.

John is on his dream vacation. All the way from New Zealand to the USA. It took a while to find Route 66, but he managed it and is enjoying the roadside attractions, snapping photos along the way. He hits a long stretch of road which vanishes into the horizon. Feeling hungry, he sees a sign for a turnoff to major highways. He considers it but notices something far off in the distance.
A typical, old-fashioned diner.
This is wonderful.
He pulls into a diner. Inside are a host of characters, including a cowboy.
Something is not right about this place and John turns to leave as darkness rolls across the desert to block his escape.
The waitress brings over an Eternity Burger, fries, and a coke. Picking up the burger, blocked memories rise and John must face the horror and the truth.
Darkness wants him.
