A woman on the run. From her family. From her past. From herself.
Miranda George is so afraid of hurting those she cares for that she pushes them away rather than risk harming them.
On the day of her mother's funeral, she boards a plane for Los Angeles. She wants to be around people she's certain she'll never care about. She starts with Daphne, a college friend who once let her down when she needed her most.
But Daphne warmly welcomes Miranda into her home. Soon Miranda falls for Daphne's friend John, a handsome tech genius who makes her feel something that truly scares her—love.
She doesn't want to hurt anyone, but what if she can't help it?
In a ploy to drive everyone away, Miranda does something unforgivable.
Torn between a past that haunts her and a future she never thought she'd deserve, Miranda must face her deepest fears. Can she finally believe that she's worthy of family, kindness—and love?
For fans of Colleen Hoover and Christina Lauren, Fallout Girl is a story of redemption and self-discovery, exploring the complexities of love, friendship, and the journey to healing.
"A love story wrapped inside a heart-rending struggle for personal freedom." -BookTrib Magazine
"A dangerous, sexy, motorcycle ride of a story, which pulls off the feat of being both humorous and heartbreaking at the same time." -Sandra Block, author What Happened That Night
Like all of Katie Rose Pryal's writing, the IPPY-Gold-winning Hollywood Lights Series centers mental health struggles and neurodiversity, and Pryal is a bipolar-autistic author.
Fallout Girl also features a steamy love triangle with a sexy computer coder and a dreamboat movie star, two kind-hearted girlfriends who want to help the main character heal, loads of angst, and a happily-ever-after.
Content Note: Fallout Girl contains strong romantic elements with some steamy and fade-to-black scenes. It discusses alcoholism. There are flashback scenes of child abuse, neglect by parents, attempted killing by poisoning, and of self-defense killing by gun.
