ORIGINAL BOOK DESCRIPTION
Deep Work is a term used by the author and Professor Cal Newport to describe the ability of people to concentrate on important work, without distractions, and to obtain impacting results.
During the narrative of his book, Deep Work: Rules for Focused Success in a Distracted World, the author describes the benefits that can bring in a world as competitive as the current one being able to develop this ability to focus 100% on a task, avoiding the multiple distractions involved in new communication technologies, especially social networks.
In order to enter the deep work zone, the author acknowledges that the person must want to do it because it is a demanding process that merits dedication and effort to change many of the common habits. That is why Newport proposes four golden rules that could help the person, who so desires, to perfect the techniques to do a Deep Work.
