Friedman, one of the fundamental thinkers of neoconservative thought, also called neoliberal, begins by reasoning as follows: "SOMEONE MUST GIVE ORDERS TO ENSURE THAT THE RIGHT PRODUCTS ARE MADE", in the precise quantities, to be available in the necessary places. Orders must be accompanied by voluntary cooperation (a technique for coordinating the activities of large numbers of people). In the same way that no society works completely on the basis of the hierarchical principle, neither is there any that does it exclusively on the basis of voluntary cooperation: EVERY SOCIETY HAS ELEMENTS OF IMPOSITION. Voluntary clandestine exchange can prevent the collapse of an order-based economy, allow it to roll, and even make some progress. We have summarized here the essentials of the following texts: "The power of the market", chapter 1 of THE NEOCONSERVATIVE THOUGHT, "The relationship between economic freedom and political freedom", chapter 1 of CAPITALISM AND FREEDOM and "The role of the State in a society free ", chapter 2 of this book.
