Mary put her hand on her large round stomach. Only one month left till she and her husband would be welcoming their first baby together. It had been a tough couple of years trying to conceive and they couldn't be happier now that they were finally going to be parents.
Mary's gaze settled on the simple wooden crib that Jeremy had made for the baby.
She had a feeling he was going to be a good father, but for some reason, she still felt anxious.
For the last five years, she had tried to settle into this life. There were things about it that she loved, that she couldn't imagine changing, but then there were times when her mind wandered to Abigail.
She wondered if she'd made the right choice. Maybe Abigail had been right and the Amish were too strict. Was she doing the right thing by starting a family within the Amish community?
