A taxi driver is dead, strangled to death in a parking lot. A broken fingernail and a stiletto shoe print are the only evidence. Ally McKeen is arrested a few blocks away. But soon she realizes she can't remain impartial.
This dark mystery takes us to the gritty streets of Northern Ontario in the 1980s, where sex and violence are exchanged for cash and shelter and girls needs to be savvy if they want to survive. Faced with these realities Ally must find her way to safety, wherever she can find it. She needs to take charge.
