My journey as a writer began years ago, kindled by an early fascination with English literature and language, a passion ignited during my GCSE studies. It was the timeless narrative of 'Of Mice and Men' that first captured my imagination, leading me down a path forever intertwined with storytelling.
As life unfolded, I explored various passions and embraced the responsibilities of adulthood. I navigated through life's complexities, finding joy and fulfilment in raising two wonderful sons. Now, as they step into their journeys, I've been graced with the opportunity to revisit my first love: writing.
My ambition is to craft immersive worlds that readers can lose themselves in, worlds where the lines between the supernatural, crime thrillers, and horror blur into an irresistible tapestry of intrigue and character-driven narratives. "Secrets in the Bones," my fourth novel, marks a significant milestone in my writing career. It represents not just another story but a venture outside my comfort zone, being the first work I've presented to agents and publishers.
With a treasure trove of stories waiting to be told, my journey as an author is far from over. I am currently immersed in writing "The Cursed Knights - the Book of the Dead," a foray deeper into the horror genre. Each new story is an adventure, an opportunity to explore the uncharted realms of imagination, and a chance to connect with readers who share my love for the mysterious and the macabre.

The Maplewood Horrors

EVIL COMES HOME
Darkness still lingers, even after all this time. No matter how deep the truth is buried, blood never washes away. Not fully. Evil terrorised the small town of Maplewood, Maine, for over a decade. Originally a logging town nestled in a valley surrounded by rolling hills and thick forests. It has been thirty years since the reign of terror ended. If it truly has. The house stirs, awakened by fresh blood and the 'Ferryman' is 'Hungry' for its toll. While the town is littered with dark secrets bubbling to the surface, its leaders(Secret 6) are fighting to keep a lid on it all, working in the shadows. Then, along came the twins.
The Rickmans thought they were escaping their troubles in England by moving to America and the quiet town of Maplewood. They sought refuge from the prying eyes and sanctuary for their teenage twins. But for the young family, the nightmare is only beginning. Jenny and Nicholas's sixteenth birthday fast approaches, a milestone that will awaken unique supernatural abilities, worrying their parents just how special they may be and re-igniting unwanted attention from the darkness.
All the while blissfully unaware of the gruesome past festering within the house, the Rickmans step into a web of horror. Thirty years ago, Maplewood was awash with kidnap and murder stemming from 66 Carpenter Street, eventually ended by the townsfolk as they took down the last of the terrifying household, Teddy Mayfield.
Since then, the house has stood empty, shrouded in whispers, fear, and a beacon of horrifying evil. Nothing stays dormant forever, and the 'House always wins', slowly seeping its darkness back into the town, and the twins find themselves at the centre of it all. Uncovering dead bodies and saving lives as they fight an insidious agenda.
The twin's big day approaches and their latent powers stir with the house's thirst for blood. Their experiences throw them into the thick of unspeakable danger. Echoes of past horrors pull them deeper into the dark history of Maplewood.
Grandma Mary Rickman, the one family member who was not afraid of what the twins could be and the 'gift' handed down with their bloodline, offered guidance. The twins find themselves on a horrifying journey.
Learn fast and embrace their bizarre new world, preventing more lives from being claimed and the Ferryman from finally bringing evil to their true home. Or become the next victims.
Some houses aren't haunted by ghosts. They're haunted by history. One that's doomed to be repeated.
'HUNGER' is a gripping horror thriller with a haunting, supernatural narrative. Is this the beginning of a fresh reign of terror?"
