Anshumala, the writer of "From Ancient Myths to Modern Reality: Science Confirms Hindu Traditions," grew up in a small village near Kashi, deeply influenced by her traditional Hindu upbringing. Her interest in exploring the connections between ancient Hindu beliefs and modern science began early on.
Her book dives into various aspects of Hindu mythology, like how time and space are viewed, the healing practices of Ayurveda, and the cosmic tales of creation. Anshumala's aim is to show how these ancient teachings align with today's scientific discoveries, making them relevant and insightful.
Anshumala's passion for her cultural heritage shines through as she uncovers the wisdom embedded in Hindu scriptures. Through her writing, she invites readers to appreciate these traditions and see how they can enrich our understanding and practices today.
In short, Anshumala's deep roots in Hindu tradition, combined with her thorough research and thoughtful insights, make her book a valuable exploration of how myth and reality intersect in Hindu beliefs.
In the hustle and bustle of modern life, where every second is accounted for and every action driven by a goal, we often find ourselves on a never-ending treadmill. We run, we work, we strive, and in the process, we forget to live. The joy of a simple moment, the peace in a silent breath, and the beauty of a genuine smile are lost amidst the noise and haste.
This book, "Smile – Rediscovering Happiness," is born out of my own reflections on life and the growing realization that we, as a society, have gradually moved away from the very essence of happiness. I have often wondered how it is that in a world more connected and technologically advanced than ever before, many of us feel disconnected, stressed, and overwhelmed. This paradox intrigued me and led me on a journey of understanding what we have lost along the way.
Growing up, I remember how easily a smile would light up my face. There were no grand reasons—just the sheer joy of being alive, of playing with friends, of watching the sunset, or of enjoying a meal with family. Those were moments of pure, unfiltered happiness. But as I grew older, responsibilities piled up, expectations grew, and the pace of life accelerated. Smiles became rare, reserved only for significant achievements or extraordinary events. The little joys were overshadowed by the looming pressures of the future.
I began to observe this same pattern in others around me—friends, family, colleagues, even strangers. Everyone seemed to be in a constant rush, their faces etched with stress and worry. The spontaneous smiles of childhood were replaced by forced, polite expressions, and the genuine joy of living was slowly fading away.
It was during one such period of self-reflection that the idea for this book took root. I realized that the problem wasn't just with me; it was a widespread issue. The fast-paced, goal-oriented nature of contemporary life was robbing us of the ability to enjoy the present moment. We were so focused on achieving success, meeting deadlines, and fulfilling responsibilities that we had forgotten how to smile—how to truly be happy.
The more I thought about it, the more I felt compelled to address this issue, not just for myself, but for everyone who might be feeling the same way. I wanted to create something that would serve as a gentle reminder to slow down, to look around, and to rediscover the happiness that lies in the small, everyday moments.
Thus, "Smile – Rediscovering Happiness" was conceived. This book is not a manual on how to achieve happiness, nor is it a collection of rigid rules to follow. Rather, it is a story—a story that many of us can relate to, as we navigate through the complexities of life. Through the journey of the protagonist, Riya, I hope to illustrate the importance of pausing, of being mindful, and of embracing the beauty that surrounds us.
Riya's journey is a reflection of the experiences that many of us go through—being caught up in the daily grind, losing touch with what truly matters, and eventually realizing that happiness is not something to be chased, but something to be noticed and appreciated in the here and now.
In writing this book, I drew inspiration from my own experiences, as well as from the stories of those around me. I observed how people reacted to stress, how they coped with challenges, and how, despite everything, they yearned for a simpler, more fulfilling life. I wanted to capture the essence of this yearning and to explore how we can all take steps towards a happier, more contented existence.
