Strange Stories for the Deeply Disturbed, is a small collection of five short horror stories delving into various paranormal worlds. This collection also features a bonus prequel story from the upcoming sci-fantasy/horror novel, Liminal.
In "The Laundromat", Jackie, moves into the upstairs apartment of a laundromat owned by Mrs. Walsh, a sweet old lady looking to make ends meet. Jackie discovers the real reason the rent is so cheap when she uncovers the Walsh's fatal life-altering secret.
"Camera-Ready" is super-model Amara's journey to the top of Star City's booming modeling agency. As death surrounds her, Amara sees what must be sacrificed for her to make it. Temptation makes for a gory tale as she uncovers the reason for it all.
"Where Did You Go?" tells a disturbing story of a man facing the consequences of his own insanity. He and his wife's years of hoarding leads them into an infinite prison.
In "Follow Me", a young girl goes to a play with her mother and finds herself entranced. The star of the play, a sly fox, seems to follow her home the next day. The tragedies of this dark winter morning remain a mystery.
"The Old Cat is about" an old, ragged cat, who pounds at the door each night, trying to get in. Our narrator is unsure of what to make of it as the sound seems to be coming from something much larger than some persistent old cat.
In our bonus story, "Love Is Liminal", Calista is tired of her horrible life and her abusive partner, so she seeks out a new form of self-medication. With the help of a cousin, she gets her hands on a new drug Psilonin, before trials began. The effects bring her into a euphoric new reality with an enticing being who she can't seem to get enough of.
