When a woman overwhelmed by the pain of oppression decides to silence her voice, how will it impact her life and her bloodline? But her sons must make a decision: will they maintain the brokenness of their grandmother and uphold the capitulations of their mother? Or will they resist the system they were born into, despite the risks it brings to their life and limbs? Each son makes his own decision, and these decisions impact multitudes of descendants and generations within Creek City, Alabama, culminating in various battles and confrontations on the haunted property formerly known as the Magruder Plantation.
