Abdul Shakur Hadi is a religious instructor and author. He wrote Learn to Read Qur‘an - Guidebook for Total Beginners and edited a two-volume Tajwid book which became the launchpad of the “Learn to Read Qur‘an the Wilayah Method” system (learntoreadquran.sg). He also authored The Book of Tauhid, The Book of Taharah and Book of Salah which were used for young students in Sunday religious schools, and has taught and written widely on subjects related to Qur‘anic reading, Islamic theology and spirituality, and history. Abdul Shakur is also lead munshid and composer with the Singapore Haqqani Ensemble under guidance of his murshid, Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani. He studied under scholars in Singapore, Malaysia and Damascus and is currently working on a series of religious guidebooks and primary texts on devotions. He lives with his wife in Singapore.
