Alejandro Zambra was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1975. He is the author of the novels

Not to Read. The recipient of numerous prizes, including a Cullman Center Fellowship from the New York Public Library, his stories have appeared in the

Harper’s, among others. He lives in Mexico City.
