Alexandra Kirschbaum was born in Cologne in 1971. She studied musicology and Romance studies in Cologne and Hamburg. For many years she has worked as a freelance editor and writes short stories and essays. Edition HIC< has published her two short stories "Tony" and "Die Freundin" and, as a separate volume, the novella "Augentropgen"
