Alicia J Evans, Co-Founder and President of Sugar & Spice Book Club and New York City Bus Operator for 25 years, presents her debut novel, I Deserve. Alicia has always been a talented writer, receiving a Creative Writing Award from LaGuardia Community College and receiving recognition in an English Literary Art Contest for her short story titled “The Bay Window”. Her short Whatever Will Be Will Be” was published in LaGuardia’s online magazine The Lit in the 2021 edition. Alicia is also a graduate of the New York Restaurant School, where she received certification in Restaurant Management. She is a graduate of LaGuardia Community College where she received an Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature at Queens College. Alicia finds joy in writing and telling stories. She believes there is something magical in weaving words together to tell a tale. Alicia loves reading, cooking, and entertaining family and friends. She lives in Hollis, NY with her soulmate and best friend.
