Brian Lewis est co-directeur du Réseau de recherche sur les communautés québécoises d’expression anglaise (QUESCREN) et professeur au département de communication à l’Université Concordia. Il a obtenu un doctorat en communication et théorie du cinéma à l’Université de l’Iowa après ses études de premier cycle en français et en science politique au Collège Hamilton. Il a été doyen de la faculté des sciences appliquées à l’Université Simon-Fraser et doyen de la Faculté des arts et des sciences à l’Université Concordia. Ses recherches portent sur les réseaux de communication, les droits des minorités et la vitalité communautaire. Il travaille également sur de nombreux films documentaires.
Brian Lewis is a co-director of the Quebec English-Speaking Community Research Network (QUESCREN) and a professor in the Department of Communications Studies at Concordia University. He completed his undergraduate studies in French and political science at Hamilton College in New York, and received his PhD in Communication and film theory under Dudley Andrew at the University of Iowa. He previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Simon Fraser University, and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Science at Concordia University. His current research interests include communication networks, minority rights, and community vitality. He is as well an active documentary filmmaker.
