Carol Tate is the author of Heartbeat, and Take Down and has a Diploma in Applied Writing. 

Living in Canterbury, New Zealand, she has four cats, three children, one dog, and dozens of stories to write. Her sister calls her crazy, she agrees. Her father always said she was a thrill-seeker growing up, action movies, speedway, racing, she enjoyed it all. So it shouldn't be a surprise that when told to challenge her characters, things became deadly dangerous.
