There once was a man from Nantucket. That’s not me.

It was a dark and stormy night. 

 I was born to the left of center, and I have lived there to this day. You can’t say I’m off my rocker because I never was on it. Ever since I was small human I’ve loved stories that were strange, odd, and scary. Everything from the raw and unforgiving to the far fetched and absurd was my To Be Read list. 

   As I grew into a larger human, teachers and mentors would suggest other books, movies, music for me to widen my gaze. Albums like Tom Waits’ Bone Machine & Funkadelic’s Maggot Brain would change by world view as much as stories by Jeremy Robert Johnson, Alvin Schwartz, Philip K. Dick,  and Shirley Jackson.

   For several years I attempted to complete National Novel Writing Month - the goal is to write a 50,000 word novel in the 30 days of November. A Crooked Toothsome Grin is my first success at this, and coming soon after was the Dime Store Trilogy. My first book being written (but not edited) in three weeks, and my last book being written in just ten days. 

    I began sharing my writing on TikTok under the name DisjointedDavid - also sharing my music, thoughts on life, and humor. You can find my music on Amazon, Spotify, etc under the name David The Page, as well as my band The Spaceman Trilogy.
