Edward Morgan Forster was a British novelist, short story writer, and essayist. He is best known for his novels including "A Room with a View," "Howards End," and "A Passage to India." Forster was born in London in 1879 and was educated at King's College, Cambridge. He was a member of the Bloomsbury Group, a group of intellectuals and artists who were influential in the early 20th century. Forster's work often explores themes of class, relationships, and personal growth. He died in 1970.
