Eugène Viollet-le-Duc (1814-1879) fut l'un des plus importants architectes français du 19e siècle. Spécialiste du Moyen-âge, il travailla notamment à la restauration du mont Saint-Michel, de la basilique de Vézelay, de la cité de Carcassonne et de Notre-Dame de Paris.
