Because of his work in exorcism and healing, Father Martins is one of the most renowned ministers of the "supernatural" within the Catholic Church. He has served as a consultant to the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints (the Vatican department charged with saint-making) and Pope Francis designated him a Missionary of Mercy, a papal delegate with worldwide jurisdiction (less than 0.3% of priests globally possess this privilege).
