Postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Oriental Languages in the University of São Paulo. Francisco holds a PhD in Arabic Studies (University of São Paulo/ 2019). He was an Alexander von Humboldt postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Semitic Studies at Freie Universität Berlin (2021–2023). His research interests include: Southern Moroccan dialects, Arabic and Portuguese in contact, Middle Arabic, Arabic Philology, and Judeo-Arabic.
