habu is how I called myself when I could not pronounce my name, Hartmut. Now I can, but ever since, I stuck to habu. However, my real name is Hartmut Wöhlbier. I stopped asking what I am after finishing two complete study programs, physics, and art, co-founding several companies in the digital domain, and having been a professor for so many years. There is a scientist and an artist in me, and someone who knows how to do large-scale projects and loves passing on knowledge to younger as well as being inspired by them. The experimental approach to aesthetics is my favorite path to take. Many thanks go out to my parents, my wife, students, co-workers, and peers. It all resonates in such a great way. After all, my love goes to creating visuals that take you to another world of color, geometry, sensual experiences, and senselessness.
