I live on the east coast of Australia a little north of Cedar River, where by the grace of God I've avoided encountering drop-bears, bunyips, hoop snakes, and less mythical wildlife in this crazy country.
Much like Rosemary, I've lived in different places and held a patchworked array of different kinds of jobs. While that has made it difficult to answer the question, "So what do you do?" at dinner parties and the like, it has provided me with a wealth of material from which to draw in my writing.
It has also shaped my perspective on what it means to walk with the Lord. The faithfulness and loving-kindness of the Father, the generous sacrifice of the Son, and the peace, comfort, and wisdom of the Spirit is the one constant when the world is ever shifting and changing around you. It's my prayer that as the world grows darker, the nearness of God's Spirit grows brighter in and through us.
Matthew 5:14-16: You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
