Ian Hall-Dixon - Libros y biografía

A late comer to the authorship of fictional stories, but with the internal pressures of a thousand various tales just waiting to be released.

Coming from a career in engineering starting with an apprenticeship in the hard knock world of an iron foundry in the north-east of England (many years ago) he progressed through the following years as draughtsman, soldier, civil servant, and for the greater part of the last thirty years, as a consulting design engineer; now retired.

The ability to write had been a necessary skill to be exercised regularly though while often creative and sometimes innovative, it had to be focussed always on engineering, some of it quite complicated and carrying a high monetary value.

In 2003 a spark finally ignited the fire that had waited for many years to be lit and the openly creative process burst out and was under way. The purely creative, starting with the form of poetry, had to be carefully interleaved with the everyday where a split personality may very well have been an advantage; fictional novels soon followed.

More novels may be in the pipeline, notes are being made, although it is also his intention to gather together and publish a collection of some of his poetry and short stories beforehand.
