Growing up in a small city in Oklahoma, USA, I always wanted to get out and explore the world. I finally decided to sell everything and set off. After traveling around Mexico, bits of Europe and Thailand, I settled in Beijing, China. With a rich history of making art and teaching, I have naturally evolved into a writer/illustrator. My books are directly influenced from my own adventures and experiences trekking across the globe.
