James Bradley is an author and critic. His books include the novels Wrack, The Deep Field, The Resurrectionist, Clade and Ghost Species, and Deep Water: The World in the Ocean. His novels have won The Age Fiction Book of the Year Award, the Kathleen Mitchell Award and the FAW Literary Award, and have been shortlisted for the Miles Franklin Award, The Christina Stead Prize for Fiction and the Victorian Premier's Prize amongst others, while Deep Water was shortlisted for the Queensland Literary Award for Non-Fiction and in 2012 he won the Pascall Prize for Australia's Critic of the Year. He lives in Sydney.
