James E. Faumuina is a retired Lt. Col in the Hawaii Air National Guard. He commanded Hawaii’s first medical CBRNE and All Hazards Medical response unit. He has worked in non-profit, government and philanthropic organizations like Parents and Children Together, The Leeward YMCA,
Hawaii Community Foundation, and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs. He worked with low-income populations and public housing communities.
Born and raised inHawaii.He earned his bachelor's in psychology from the
University ofHawaii-Manoa in 1993, Master's Degrees in public administration from Troy State University and business administration from Chaminade University. He is a graduate of the Air Command and Staff College and Air War College.
