Jim Corbett was born and educated in Limerick City. He left Limerick after secondary school and moved to Croydon,
England in 1988, where he still lives. He briefly studied business in London and has spent the past twelve years working in the telecommunications industry in London. While working for Vodafone, he wrote the Vodafone Music Club Weekly Magazine. He began writing in 2005 and is very much interested in twentieth-century Irish history.
