K. J. Ryan's debut novel Hold the Stars sprang from the fact that Lila started as an original character in a fanfiction and had her own story to tell.
Other than writing, Ryan also does freelancer editing work through Joy in Editing. When not writing or editing, Ryan manages a household that involves three young boys, homeschooling, a dog, and a whole lot more noise than anything else.
