Growing up in Queensland, specifically the Gold Coast, I spent most of my life hanging out with mates at the various beaches around the Miami and Burleigh Heads area. Although I never surfed I did enjoy spearfishing and exploring the coastal areas. 
On leaving school at fifteen I began an apprenticeship as a panelbeater. I met my lovely wife after my cousins car broke down and she called the only 'car guy' she knew to come to their rescue. The rest, as they say, is history!
We initially settled at Tamborine mountain where our daughter made her way into the world. Shortly after we moved to Hervey bay, an extreme sea change. I had at that time left the motor trade to start a business laying ceramic and marble tiles. Over our time in 'The Bay' I pursued several hobbies. Along with camping trips to Fraser island, with our now three children, I taught my self to sail, having been gifted a small sailing boat. Then after heading back into the motor trade and starting my own engineering business I decided to learn to fly, a passion that endures to the present.
A move to Melbourne in 2011 opened up several new challenges and opportunities, along with building and flying my own aircraft, pursuing shooting competitions and watching our children grow and start their own families. I began to write. 
I've heard it said that everyone has at least one book hidden away inside them, I believe I have several. As I coax these stories from my imagination onto these pages, I hope that you, dear reader, will enjoy the journey as much as I have in steering us both to our destination.
Hopefully you will find my work as enjoyable as was for me in bringing it to life.
