Moira McPartlin made a big impact with her debut novel The Incomers, which tells the tale of a West African woman moving to a small town in 1960s Scotland. It was shortlisted for the Saltire Society First Book of the Year Award and was a critical success. Moira is also a prolific writer of short stories and poetry and has been published in a variety of literary magazines. She currently lives in Stirlingshire. Her most recent novels are Ways of the Doomed and Wants of the Silent, which are respectively the first and second installments in the Sun Song trilogy and have both been well received.
