Monte Jaffe's writing experience extends back to his early days in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he was born. In high school he wrote stories and songs and later in college he wrote for television.
After winning scholarships in music to the University of Tennessee and later to the Curtis Institute, Philadelphia, he concentrated on a career in opera, becoming an accomplished internationally recognised opera singer.
