The eldest of four children, I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee in the 50’s, when Elvis Presley was getting his start. I had the church and later the Boy Scouts as a positive influence in my life. I attended college at the University of Tennessee and upon graduation in 1971, took a job with the Boy Scouts of America as a scout executive working in the third poorest county in the nation. My son Aaron was born there July 28, 1972 in La Follette, Tennessee.

    I currently live in Fort Worth, Texas where I am retired and happily married to a police woman.

About the book

My testimony is really one of the hardest and most painful life situations to share. I have a magnitude of mixed emotions and thoughts that I encountered throughout my ordeal with Aaron. There was a time in Aaron's life it was hard for me to believe that I’d brought a monster into the world. Yet, God turned even the unimaginable worst case that a human can go through into something good; He answered my prayers.

I want you to understand that this book is not justifying evil behavior for what my son had done nor any human. We have all fallen short and we are all in need of our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ. It is not acceptable to seek revenge in any form because of what someone has done to you. My testimony is about God’s unconditional love, redemption, and His heart for all humanity including evil-minded people, to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is humanities Saviour.
