Sarah Walker was born in 1965 in Sydney's western suburbs. WATER COLOURS is her fifth novel, following SIMPLE THINGS, THE YEAR OF FREAKING OUT, CAMPHOR LAUREL (which won the Children's Book Council Honour Book of the Year in 1999) and THE TIN MAN.
