Shannon Crossman took up meditation to heal the complex PTSD from her childhood. Crossman has spent more than 20 years meditating, communing with nature and the Divine. Part of her ongoing conversation with her Beloved comes through poetry. The pieces in this book flow through that connection. Most come fully formed, in moments of insight, in the depths of meditation, on a secluded trail, and occasionally in the car while driving (those are always the hardest ones to catch).
Shannon believes in the small God in every heart – a loving, compassionate presence who can hold all aspects of what it means to be human. Because a God like that demonstrates all the ways we can come to love the entirety of ourselves (especially the parts we might label fractured or broken).
Her most fervent mission in life is to restore a sense of loving wonder to the world.
Crossman currently lives in Redding, CA with her partner and two feline misfits. Her work has also been published in the anthologies, Goddess When She Rules and Hidden Lights.
