Siegfried Langgaard was a Danish pianist, composer and philosopher of music. His highly pianistic style and complex harmonic ianguage can be clearly seen within this 'Romantische Phantasie', inspired by the opening passages of Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid'.
