Professor Stefan Halper, D.Phil (Oxon), PhD (cantab.), is Director of American Studies at the Department of Politics and International Studies, University of CamÂbridge. Halper is a Life Fellow of Magdalene College, Cambridge. He first visited Tibet in 1997.
