Tassos Apostolidis was born in 1947 in Thessaloniki, Greece, where he studied mathematics before devoting 42 years of his life to teaching at the high-school level. His body of work includes columns and humor pieces published through the end of the 1990s in newspapers and magazines. He has written books and numerous scripts for graphic novels based on works of classical Greek literature by figures such as Aristophanes, Homer, Sophocles, Euripides, and Aesop. He has also written plays and stand-up comedy shows. Tassos is a member of several writers' organizations and regularly hosts workshops, classes, and conferences on subjects such as drawing, caricature, and comics. In 2022, with Alecos Papadatos, he released "Aristotle," a biography of the great philosopher published by Dargaud Benelux (2023 for the English-language edition, published digitally by Europe Comics).
