Thomas A Clark lives in a small fishing village on the east coast of Scotland. Three earlier books of poetry, published by Carcanet, explore the landscape and culture of the highlands and islands, while numerous small books, cards and editions from his own Moschatel Press investigate ways that the presentation of poetry can inform sense and nuance. Away from the printed page, Thomas A Clark's spare textual interventions attempt to bring imaginative space to public or domestic situations. During the summer months, with the artist Laurie Clark, he runs Cairn Gallery, a space for minimal and conceptual art.
